This two story, 10,000 square foot brick building
is located in the heart of Leadville, Colorados downtown historic district
across from the Lake County Courthouse. Built 1891 it is locally
known as the Emmet Block Building. The first floor houses the
town's oldest bookstore and only Chinese restaurant. The upstairs contains
seven apartments for rent.
These non-smoking
apartments range from small studios to a very large three bedroom. They
are rented, unfurnished, on an initial twelve-month lease and then
month to month thereafter. Rents range from $355 to $700 per
month, which includes utilities (gas, electric, water and sewer). The
rents are considered low by todays Leadville standards. Tenants can arrange for telephone
and cable TV as desired.

The apartments are very clean and the
building is quiet and secure. Only tenants have access to the
second floor. The building is equipped with a modern smoke/fire alarm system
with automatic connection to the fire department. Off street tenant parking
is located behind the building. Snow plowing is provided as needed.
Apartments 1-4
have beautiful views of Harrison Avenue activity and the Collegiate
Mountain Range, which includes Colorados two highest
peaks, Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive. Most tenants are long term.
First months rent,
last months rent and cleaning deposit are required to move in. For
the comfort of all residents, only responsible, quiet tenants are
permitted. Sorry,
no pets.
