<17> Lake County Courthouse

Continue walking on Harrison Avenue. The building on your left is the Lake County Courthouse. Built in 1955, Leadville received the All-America City award from Look magazine in 1958 for being progressive! This building contributed to this status! The original courthouse was built in the middle of this block in 1880, partially burned in 1942 and was removed after the new courthouse was built.
